Baking is... Well... Simply math! Now, it's not extremely hard math, but it can be a bit tricky. Here are some of the tools that I have created, and they're all free for you to use!
Yeast Conversion Chart
Yeast can be a pain the hindquarters, especially if you have to convert different yeasts. Believe me! I've probably ruined more than one loaf by using yeast incorrectly.
Here is a chart in ounces and grams. Please keep in mind that this is fresh yeast and instant dry yeast, not active dry yeast. If you are using active dry yeast, please spare your sanity and change over to instant dry. It's just easier to use and cheaper!
Fresh Yeast to Instant Dry Yeast
1oz (28g) = 1/3oz (9g)
4oz (113g) = 1 & 1/3oz (38g)
8oz (227g) = 2 & 2/3oz (76g)
1lb (454g) = 5 & 1/3oz (151g)
3lb (1361g) = 1 lb (454g)
